Associated Content v. Helium

Associated Content and Helium are no doubt two of the easiest places to have your articles published on the Internet. You don't have to be a particularly skillful writer and there is no sample work required. Basically all you need is a PayPal account and something to say. So this makes them a really good place for a newbie to start writing online. You can make some extra cash and start getting some of your content on the Internet. But on the flip side the pay blows, it may be hard to get an upfront payment and Helium is as confusing as Father's Day at Shawn Kemp's house. There are two different types of stars and the payments vary by different factors that aren't well explained. They will give between 50¢ and $2.50 upfront, assuming you submit one of the first five articles in a title. AC claims they give between $1-$20 upfront, more often than not you will find yourself on the lower end. It is easier to get an upfront payment with Helium, just search until you find a title with less than five articles. With Associated Content you need something that is incredibly specific and/or differs from existing topics to get that upfront payment, not always an easy task. Helium pays once a month only after you reach the $25 threshold. AC pays the upfront amount once the article is reviewed and accepted, performance payments are given once a month. And finally Helium giveg a $5 first article payout. AC often pays $10 if you submit 10 articles in your first month, $5 for 5. Of course this means if you sign up on the 28th of October you must have 10 in by the 31st, so you may want to sign up at the beginning of a month. So as much as it kills me to say this, Associated Content really is, in my opinion, the better of the two. But, I would suggest you submit to both anyway. Once your article is approved by AC, non-exclusive of course, submit it to Helium; under a title with less than five articles if possible. You might as well maximize your earnings. Awesome Income Online-About.com

Most people who have used the Internet have come across about.com. About is, of course, an online source full of original information on a ton of different topics. Someone has to write this stuff, so why not you? They hire topic experts called guides who are guaranteed to earn at least $675 a month for their first two years. They claim that several guides earn over $100,000 a year! That's not bad at all considering guides are only required to publish four articles a month and update their blog a few times a week. So are you an expert? Generally an expert would be someone who has at least 5 years of experience in their chosen topic. Have you held the same job for that long? Maybe you have dealt with an illness or disability for that long? Have you had children for more than 5 years or been in a certain religion for that long? Maybe you would qualify. And you can always suggest new topics if you have a great idea for one that doesn't already exist. If this opportunity doesn't interest you but you are looking for ways to make money from home, or you just want to find even more ways to earn from home then check out athomeopps for a list of companies that hire individuals to work from home.
